A day with family, friends and loved ones will be worth spending in a place where it is not only suitable for kids but it is adult-friendly as well. If you are a kid at heart kind of person, well this destination will be a great opportunity to be just happy and gay.

Dubai is a regular customer of Guinness Book of World Records garnering a lot of record-breaking events and achievements and Dubai never failed public to amaze the public and the entire world

of how wide their vision is. I never saw how ambitious United Arab Emirates is until such time I experienced how it is to be here and be an expat. I saw different countries already yet there is something in my heart that reserves a spot for UAE. I guess I learned so much from this place and learning more is something I still want.

The next thing I am going to feature in my article is the largest theme park I saw in my entire life and I am talking about the Dubai Parks and Resorts. This huge theme park is a must-see, must-try, and extremely must-experience.

Dubai Parks and Resorts is the Middle East’s largest integrated leisure and theme park destination located on Sheikh Zayed road in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Spread over 25 million square feet, it features more than 100 rides and attractions, and consists of three theme parks: MOTIONGATE™ Dubai, Bollywood Parks™ Dubai and LEGOLAND Dubai, and one water park: LEGOLAND Water Park. It also encompasses Riverland Dubai, a themed retail and dining destination, as well as the Polynesian-themed family resort, Lapita Hotel Dubai. The official opening took place on 18 December 2016. <source: Wikipedia>

When I visited Dubai Parks and Resorts, I thought it is just another theme park that Dubai has but I was wrong. I was completely wrong. I never expected the park to be as huge as that. But I will clearly say now that it was fun, it was really fun!

The first stop I visited in this huge creation is the MotionGate park which is really amazing. The DreamWorks seen in the picture is an enclosed theme park that has several rides, 3D surprises and more.

The rides are really awesome! Some of it made me shout, as in shout out loud and it feels like my lungs are about to explode and some made me laugh pretty hard. It was like going back to your childhood that the only thing you want is to play like a kid again and again.

If you don’t feel silly being like a kid, then you are good to go. I believe adults should also allow themselves to be like kids sometimes. Give yourself a break of being an adult for a day and enjoy being careless like you are in a play.

picture inside motiongateCouples with kids will also enjoy this theme park because aside from going back to your childhood, you are going to experience things with your kids which is a very good bonding for the family. This is something that your kids will look back as a very happy memory for sure.

If Los Angeles, California is known to be famous with their Hollywood, well India will never fail you with their Bollywood. After MotionGate, I visited the Bollywood park wherein it will make you feel like you are walking in a village in India. A lot of Indian stuff is in there and the Rajmahal theatre is one of the main attractions.

rajmahalFor information purposes, Rajmahal is a city and a notified area in Sahibganj district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. Rajmahal is the only sub-divisional town in Sahibganj district. This is a very beautiful creation that you should see. I also tried the rides and fun entertainment inside the Bollywood park that is really into a lot of engineering stuff and anime thingies.

bollywoodSince India is also well-known to be very rich when it comes to culture, this photo is a proof that women in India are very fond of art. If you are going to take a closer look, the hands in form of a statue in the photo has some an art that most people would describe as Henna Tattoo. This is actually called Mehndi.

Mehndi or “Mehendi” is a form of body art from Ancient India, in which decorative designs are created on a person’s body, using a paste, created from the powdered dry leaves of the henna plant (Lawsonia inermis). Ancient in origin, mehndi is still a popular form of body art among the women of the Indian Subcontinent, Africa and the Middle East. Mehndi is derived from the Sanskrit word mendhikā. The use of mehndi and turmeric is described in the earliest Hindu Vedic ritual books. It was originally used for only women’s palms and sometimes for men, but as time progressed, it was more common for women to wear it. Haldi (staining oneself with turmeric paste) as well as mehndi are Vedic customs, intended to be a symbolic representation of the outer and the inner sun. Vedic customs are centered on the idea of “awakening the inner light”. Traditional Indian designs are representations of the sun on the palm, which, in this context, is intended to represent the hands and feet. There are many variations and types in mehndi designs which are categorized, such as Arabic mehndi designs, Indian mehndi designs, and Pakistani mehndi designs. Women usually apply variations of henna or mehndi design patterns on their hands and feet. <source: Wikipedia>

The last but not the least of the parks I saw is the Legoland. When you say lego, you will always describe it as a toy for kids. I myself is a kid at heart and I love lego. I love building blocks and different shapes when I was a little kid using this toy and I am really interested what will legoland offer me. To be honest, I was really shocked when I saw it. The first stop was Lego Factory which is a kids area but you are allowed to enter and guide your kids or to experience it as well. You will get your own lego freebie with legoland printed on it.

legoland

There are also rides inside this theme park that you and your family or friends will really enjoy. This is a kiddie time thingie in a way but wait, there’s more. All the while, I thought legoland is just a theme park for kids but the park really proved me wrong, as in 100% wrong in  a way that I did not expect.

legoThe legoland turned my expectation into a twist when I entered a room full of lego features. But take note this is not just a simple lego builded by kids, it a legoland definitely on its own flavor. The lego the you will see in MiniLand will be replica of the buildings or establishment that UAE built for the past years.

And this has been a record-breaking achievement again for UAE for making a replica of the tallest manmade building ever noted on earth alive. It did rock the world when Dubai made another unique episode of success in Guinness Book of World Records. This has been a wow factor again to this Middle East country. The above pictures are miniature replica of how UAE buildings looked like. It seems to be like city inside that MiniLand. And to be honest, the miniatures are like real live demo of everything which is an inch close to the so-called reality.

Apart from all of that, there are so many things to be seen in Dubai Parks. There are so many restaurants that will fuel up your hunger. The French Village is also beautifully created featuring a Europe-kind of set-up. So imagine that? You are in the middle of the wide desert then you have a set-up like Europe. I guess when winter starts to ring the bell, your winter outfit will be so close to perfection for this area. But since, we are facing summer months, be on your summer outfit and feel the summer heat in French Village.

That ends my Dubai Parks and Resorts journey. The next question is where to purchase the tickets? Click here for more information. For the park hours: here

To reach the location, I will suggest 3 things:

  1. If you have a private or rental car, hop in and use google maps or waze and type on your search engine Dubai Parks and Resorts Dubai and you are good to go. Like on my previous blogs, I strongly suggest waze than google maps because it is close to accuracy. But in the end, it will be you choosing of course.
  2. If you want to use the metro, hop off on the last station using red line which is UAE Exchange and from there you need to take a cab. Just tell the driver you will go to Dubai Parks and Resorts. Most drivers know this area as well so it will not a problem.
  3. If you don’t want to use the metro then just simply ride a cab and tell the driver you will go Dubai Parks and Resorts.

Please be reminded that when you visit the park this summer, wear comfortable clothes and shoes and don’t forget your sunglasses. It will be hot so being comfy is something that will make you enjoy the park. Since this whole area is big, an umbrella or hat will aid your sun-kissed skin and sunblock will really be your best buddy if you don’t want to be on a tanning session afterwards. So what are you waiting for? Visit Dubai Parks and feel the freedom of fun for a day and find that amazing feeling of happiness.
