How will you celebrate the holidays?
It has been months since the entire COVID-19 pandemic started and we are still at the same phase. No one thought that this problem will last this long. The only thing that changed is the people’s approach to the situation.
Countries with four seasons entered the winter, some countries are experiencing the rainy season which makes fighting off the virus harder. Clearly, the virus is still around but the spirit of the holidays is undoubtedly felt by many.
At this point in time, most people can’t travel and that’s definitely going to be the situation. This can be until the end of the year, but of course, no one can tell.
So how are we going to celebrate this festive occasion in the middle of the pandemic? Let’s find out!
We need to remember that the holiday season is best celebrated with our families. On the other hand, for those who can’t make it home, don’t be sad. There is a solution to everything.
- Decorate: To not fell into the trap of loneliness, try to have your space be as festive as it can be. It might be not the same as how it is back home, but better to have something than nothing.
- Plan: The best way to do this is to plan. Working or not, you would like to plan on how you will be celebrating the holiday season.
- Cook With Your Family: Who said you can’t cook with your family? Adjusting to the time zone might be a thing, but do it. Everything can be done online nowadays, so cook with family via video call.
- Gifts: Everything can be bought online now so sending your family gifts will be an easy task, let the courier take care of it, just make sure you order in time.
It doesn’t mean we can’t be with our loved ones this coming holidays, it is not worth celebrating anymore. Especially at this time of the year, we should celebrate this festive season together with our families in all possible ways we can.
A lot of people have passed away due to the virus and we have learned to value time, our family, and many more. So while we can, we should stay positive in spirit, try to be safe, and celebrate responsibly.
For those who are able to fly and be with their families, this should be the time to set aside everything and treasure all the time you have with them. Celebrate in a very responsible way and follow the protocols in place.
The festive season is not felt that much all over the world due to the situation, but we kept fighting off this problem. As we end the year, we should end it in a positive note. The entire world can celebrate safely if all of us will cooperate. The safety of everybody is all in our hands.
