Dubai has been striving to be an all-in-one kind of city. The place aims to have the best of the bests as much as possible and wants to offer its visitors the most of everything during their stay.
Do you know that Greeks are masters in charcoal-grilled and spit-roasted meats? If you didn’t then, I guess you do now. Well, I had a delightful food encounter with Shimmers On The Beach (that’s the name of the restaurant by the way) that is different from the usual.
The place is situated on the beach side, facing the beautiful view of the fourth tallest hotel in the world and one of the most luxurious, no other than the Burj Al Arab located in Madinat Jumeirah. Aside from the so-called hotel view, you will face the expanse of the beautiful sea.
One great thing about the Shimmers that I like the most is the set-up of the couches, chairs, tables, and the ambiance of the place. They also provide heaters during winter. And one thing I appreciate when it comes to the premises itself is that it gives you that room of just enjoying yourself while savoring the beach.
Apart from the beautiful place and set-up, another thing that is inviting in Shimmers is the food that they offer. I am not really into Greek food before until I tried their “something to share” – Traditional Tzatziki for starters and “From The Coals” – Chicken Souvlaki” for the main course.
I won’t deny the fact that the food is excellent. It has to be a must-try on your bucket list. The Shimmers On The Beach is an excellent place for any occasion and to be honest, the prices are not that high, it is still affordable and within the budget.
You can also opt to stay in the hotel as well and experience the luxury of having to wake up each morning with the gorgeous view of the sea and the picture of Burj Al Arab right in front of your window.
If you are looking for a great experience, affordable and something beautiful, well stay tuned for the next set of articles that I will be posting. For now, try to take a peek and pick this Greek resto-bar that will give you a little bit of Greece in the Middle East!
